Daniel Ameduri has today made the most of his home track advantage to race away from the rest of the field and claim Round Three of the Renegade Winter Series at Ellenbrook Speedway.
Ameduri would start on the front row alongside youngster Cody Avins who, courtesy of his two heat wins, would start from pole position, but it was Ameduri who got the jump.
Following Ameduri would be David Nylander while Avins would settle into third as round two winner Matt Amato locked into fourth and looked for a way past Avins.
After just one lap though the yellow lights would come on for Jeff Pahl who found himself facing the wrong way in turn one, lucky to be avoided by Ken Melvin, David Boyes and Nathan Richards who were approaching at a rate of knots.
Ameduri led away Nylander, Avins and Amato as the race resumed again, while round one victor Graham Murray also began to make his presence felt.
With five laps complete the yellows would come out again, this time as Murray found himself backwards on the front straight after racing contact between himself, Avins and Amato as they fought for position.
Nylander went high on lap seven allowing Avins through for second, but a few turns later it all came undone with all cars in the field except Ameduri and Avins stranded in turns three and four.
Again Ameduri would lead Nylander and Avins away, but shortly after David Boyes would find himself hard in the wall after contact with Rhys Wells.
The final restart would see Amato run wide and Murray passed him for fourth, but up front it was all Ameduri, going on to claim the win from Nylander and Avins.
After todays results, Avins has maintained his lead in the Renegade Winter Series overall standings, now twelve markers ahead of Amato while Graham Murray is another nine points further back in third.
The fourth round of the Renegade Winter Series will be held at Ellenbrook Speedway on the 4th of August.
