Production Sedans SSD Four Crown Series

Four Crowns Heads to Pithara

Article by Scott Beattie

Just one week after round two, the Production Sedans are back in action for round three of the 2018 Speedway Sedan Digest Four Crowns Series, to be held at Pithara Speedway this Saturday night in conjunction with the annual Kevan Joyce Memorial.

A good field of seventeen drivers have nominated for this show, including current State Champion and SSD points leader Barry Rose. Despite a tough run in the opening round, Rose bounced back with a big win at Shark Bay Speedway for the Far Western Championships last weekend and is now atop the point’s standings, just seven points ahead of Daren Currell who is unfortunately not nominated for this weekend.

Kane McDiarmid is third overall despite missing round two and will be keen to make up some points this weekend while Coby Stevens, fresh off a strong second place last Saturday at the Far Westerns, will be keen for another bag of points to rocket her further up the standings.

Leon Wood, Murray Cleasby, Josh Macalpine, Craig Lenane and Mike Kinnear are the only other drivers nominated who have competed in the previous two rounds and will all be hoping to have their luck turn around come feature race time this weekend while others like Jeff Pahl and Wayne Leviston should certainly add some spice this time round.

Racing begins from 1pm this Saturday.
