Despite not winning a heat race all day, Blake Iwanow’s consistent results would see him start on the front row for the fifteen lap feature alongside high points man Blake Webb. Iwanow would get the jump and from here was never headed as he would lead every lap.
The only blemishes of the race would be when Luke Malcolm, in his first Top Stars event, would have an issue that saw him spear into the turn four wall before heading infield without bringing on the yellows, two laps before the one and only stoppage of the race occurred when Isaac Arnold, in his last ever Junior race, spun in turn four.
Iwanow would go on to claim the win on a day that showed how close the competition is between the Top Star Junior Sedans, four different winners from four races. He would defeat Webb and Tylar Main.
In contrasting fortunes Bunbury’s Matthew Thomson made the trip worth it as he claimed four wins from four starts in the New Star Junior Sedans, defeating a hard fighting duo in Geraldton’s Rory Elsum-Beaumont and Darryl George.
The Junior Sedans will again return to Ellenbrook Speedway on the 25th of June, this time for the Winter Classic.
